The French Dream...

After running a successful hospitality business in Oxford UK, our first insight to rural French life was when we purchased a small stone property to renovate in Deux Sevres, 2.5 hours north of Le Marais.

Initially we had planned to use this as a holiday home, but after visiting The Dordogne, we fell in love with the region and decided to make the move more permanent as a family, and so in 2019, the next chapter of life at Le Marais was born!

The property was previously occupied by the Rey family but had not been lived in for some 8 years prior. The entirety was in desperate need of renovation and updating - perfect for an obsessed British couple with a vision to breathe new life and bring it into the 21st Century!
